In early 2022, I got my Level 1 High Power Rocketry certification on a rocket named Bonnibel Bubblegum. The rocket flew on an Aerotech H550ST motor to 2k' altitude.

Following that, I started to pursue my Level 2 HPR certification in March of 2022. This was a much more arduous process filled with many failed flights along the way, but I eventually was able to get my Level 2 certification in May 2023 on a rocket named Project Butterfly, which flew to 6.5k' and to 1.2 times the speed of sound.

In September 2024, I decided that I wanted to attempt my Level 3 certification. My target was to launch in October - on my Birthday! This made for a very tight build schedule, but after having gained experience from building over a dozen L2 rockets, I believed that it was possible.

Below is the technical report for Project Marcy.

About Me

Hello I'm Matthew.  I am a Stanford Student who loves to explore, whether it be around the world or into space itself.  I love all forms of flying and building things that fly, along with building things that compute.
